Wainwright Stampede

The 60th Annual Wainwright Stampede offers four action-packed days for the community with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association. Events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association also compete over the four days.

WAINWRIGHT STAMPEDE

The Wainright Stampede, complete with chuckwagon races, celebrates its 60th year. The four-day event starts June 20, 2013. 

 

Get ready for four action-packed days with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association at the annual Wainright Stampede. Events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association also competes over the four days.

Bring your lawn chairs to the Stampede Parade held early on Saturday. A fun-filled midway runs all weekend long. On Saturday night there's live entertainment with a concert and carbaret at the Peace Memorial Multiplex. Sunday, the champions in all the rodeo events and the chuckwagons are awarded with cheques and beautiful buckles. So dust off your hats, shine up your boots and join in the fun at the Wainwright Stampede, part of the Wrangler Canadian Professional Rodeo Canadian Tour.
