This Fringe Button is your pass or gateway to all Fringe shows or events, and proudly displays you, our patron, as a loyal Fringe Member. As a non-profit Festival, this membership fee assists with administration costs, theatre rentals, marketing, and all other aspects involved with coordinating the Calgary Fringe Festival. At the end of the day, it keeps the Fringe participation costs for our artists at bargain basement prices AND allows us to continue giving them 100% of their artist ticket revenue!
All Fringe Buttons are $5 per button and are mandatory when attending any Fringe theatre shows or events.
Where to purchase your Fringe Button
Fringe Buttons can only be purchased at either our Information Booth or at each venue box office location for cash only during the run of the Fringe.
No Fringe Button means No Admittance to the Show, even if you have a ticket! Fringe Buttons are required by all Fringe patrons age 13 and over. Up to four children, age 12 and under, can accompany one adult with a Fringe Button. So to avoid having to pay for another Fringe Button, make sure you bring it with ya!
BONUS: Special Discounts and Savings! Wear your Fringe Button when visiting some of our local Inglewood merchants and restaurants. Fringe Members will be treated to special discounts!
Here’s how the Fringe Button works
You purchase the Fringe Button: this is your badge of membership and is required by all Fringe patrons age 13 and over to gain admittance into the Fringe show or event, along with your ticket. Up to four children, age 12 and under, can accompany one adult with a Fringe Button.
You wear or carry your Fringe Button with you whenever you are coming to see a Fringe show or event: the Fringe Button, along with your ticket, is your gateway into all Fringe shows or events and must be displayed at all times to gain admittance. Don’t forget it!
Important: You must have your Fringe Button, along with your show ticket, to be admitted into any Fringe show.
We suggest patrons arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the performance start time, as all performances are General Seating.
No Latecomers — because of the set-up of our venues, patrons will not be admitted after the performance starts (no, not even one minute after). With so many performances taking place, it is imperative that we stay on schedule. Therefore, performances start precisely at their designated show times, and no one is admitted once the show has started.
No Refunds — because the Fringe returns 100% of ticket revenue (less GST and $ 1.50 ticketing surcharge) to the artists, we cannot offer refunds on their behalf.
No Admittance for patrons under 18 yrs old for Restriced or R-rated shows - even with parental consent. Restricted shows are not deemed appropriate for patrons under the age of 18 years. The Calgary Fringe reserves the right to ask for ID at the door in this instance.
Unclaimed Pre-Purchased Tickets — any tickets that were purchased in advance that have not been claimed will be released for resale to the general public 2 min prior to each performance start time.
