CALGARY REGGAEFEST

Calgary ReggaeFest's Main Stage event isn’t just for Reggae fans. It’s a full day family event that transcends racial, cultural and musical boundaries. With live performances from Canadian and international Reggae artistes, ReggaeFest features a beer garden, separate youth area, and plenty of arts & crafts. Or get a taste of Reggae culture from the many food vendors.
ReggaeFest is proud of its connections to the local community and has supported Boy Scouts, Brothers United Soccer Team, Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter, CJSW Radio 90.9 fm, CUSO, Elektra Dance Group, Kids Up Front Foundation, St John Ambulance and various groups with ticket and merchandise donations.
The Calgary Reggae Festival Society, is committed to the promotion of local, regional and national awareness of Reggae Music in Canada. The festival aims to promote cultural awareness and advancement of Reggae Music in Canada, promote the historical significance and influence of Reggae Music on other music genres, and produce an annual festival showcasing Reggae Music and Culture and to encourage youth involvement in the development of Reggae Music.
This years festival runs August 15-18, 2012, at Shaw Millennium Park.
