Carifest is an annual festival held in Calgary, AB. that showcases the arts and culture of the Caribbean. The Caribbean Community Council of Calgary (CCC) organizes Carifest as part of its mandate. The Council was incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act in 1981 and has grown Carifest to become one of the major festivals in Western Canada. CCC’s executive and membership operate on a volunteer basis with a focus on aligning the correct skill set, experience and personality with the appropriate CCC function.
