Seekers Media President to speak at the upcoming Banff Media Festival
– June 2, 2011
Edmonton, AB – The Banff Media Festival brings together a collection of North America’s leading media industry representatives. It was with great honour that Seekers Media’s President Jim Barr accepted the invitation by Digital Alberta to become a speaker at the event, joining an impressive array of industry experts.
From comedian Howie Mandel, to 20th Century Fox TV’s Chairman Dana Walden, to Ted Sarandos of Netflix, and Google TV’s Donagh O’Malley, Barr joins this lineup to help an international collection of delegates keep their pulse on the media industry’s continued evolution.
“We’ve had a series of recognitions this past year with our cross-platform approach, the latest being two nominations in June’s Digital Alberta awards for our video and mobile efforts. From TV and video, to online, to mobile, to social media, we utilize a multitude of channels to ensure our audience experiences our first person content they way they need to. Our goal is to continue to evolve how we can use the latest technologies to help improve our audience’s travels, while at the same time give our advertisers innovative means to expand their market reach,” explains Barr.
Barr’s presentation on June 13, 2011 is part of Digital Alberta’s Tech Hub, a showcase of leading new media companies within the province of Alberta. For more on June 12-15 Banff Media Festival, please consult www.banffmediafestival.com.
