Shuswap Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival is a small gathering of paddle teams in a positive atmosphere of competitive spirit and camaraderie.

This annual event is fun, affordable and fast paced. The Festival Village atmosphere is typically a vibrant and fun atmosphere with live music, working artisans, information kiosks and healthy food vendors serving up a taste of the Shuswap.

Located in a beautiful setting on the shores of Salmon Arm Bay in Marine Park the festival is fun for the whole family. While the annual Dragon Boat Festival is a gathering of paddling teams, the organizers try to provide an atmosphere of camaraderie and a positive spirit of competition as a beginning to the Dragon Boat racing season for participating teams.

Registration is on a first-come basis and space is limited.

Race info:

  • women's & mixed divisions

  • 500-metre distance

  • 16 teams

Cost per team registration is $850 up to May 20, and $920 from May 20 on.
