Get into a coastal state of mind for the annual Otalith Festival. More than 20 acts and DJs take to the outdoor stage in the tiny, vibrant town of Ucluelet. Expect garage rock, hip hop, indie, folk and anything else you’d care to dance to — all with the stunning backdrop of the forest, coast and deep blue Pacific surrounding Vancouver Island. While you enjoy the music, your ticket helps support two local initiatives, the Ucluelet Aquarium and Pacific Wild.

It’s been too long but finally Edmonton welcomes back the airshow. The Villeneuve Airport, just a short drive north west of Edmonton, will host the Edmonton Airshow from Aug. 22 - 23. Much of the entertainment is in the air where pilots do manoeuvres that send chills up your spine.

For 22 years this festival has existed to honour the memory of Cam Alexander, an avid cyclist who tragically lost his life in a biking accident. This year, the festival is reaching out to the community of Nelson to get back in the saddle. The festival is for competitive and recreational riders. Pump up your bike tires, oil the chain, and make sure your brakes are in order, because there'll be lots of riding.
