    The Mount 7 flying site in Golden has for more than two decades offered superb conditins while hosting pilots from across North America and around the world. Mount 7 and the Columbia Valley are famous for incredible thermal conditions and excellent cross-country opportunities. Numerous pilots have achieved personal best flights launching from Mount 7. Golden is  Canada's mecca for foot-launched flying.

    There is no official way to celebrate Canada Day. Many stay in their backyards with friends and have barbecues, and many celebrate with crowds and music, face-painting, fireworks and flags. Whistler creates a four-day Canada Day event that has all of that and more for people who shout proudly "I am Canadian!" and who embrace the cultural mosaic that Canada has become.
