The #BuyBasin Festival is back this fall

Shoppers screen time has exploded, virtual festivals are now mainstream, and more than ever BC residents are looking to support locals.

After a spring 2021 run that reached almost 1,000,000 people celebrating Columbia Basin-area business, the #BuyBasin Festival is back this fall!

The festival takes place virtually on Facebook and Instagram to celebrate the opportunity to #BuyBasin and uncover unique and wonderful businesses that make their home in BC’s southeast.

Last April, we discovered tasty treats like gourmet caramels being made at Flyway Farm & Forest in Spillimacheen, thrilling outings like Valley Zipline Adventures at Radium Hot Springs, and how-it's-made moments with services like Hall Printing in Trail.

This fall, expect to see a few fan-favourites returning, as well as a whole new crew of local businesses to discover.

Mark your calendars for the #BuyBasin Festival, October 18 to November 10, 2021.

Keep an eye out for the lineup coming soon.

Entrepreneurs, businesses and entertainers will be going LIVE on Facebook and Instagram with expert tips, giveaways, demos, live music, and all kinds of behind-the-scenes fun.

And the music, heck yeah! For those who don't know already, the Basin is filled with some amazing musicians like Fernie's Shred Kelly, Cranbrook's The Parsons, and Valemount's Nick Beddington, to name a few.

Columbia Basin Trust is partnering with FestivalSeekers to host the #BuyBasin Festival, to offer a free feature spot in the lineup for up to 100 businesses who will showcase a diverse range of products and services available locally.

If you're reading this thinking, 'hey, I have a business in the Columbia Basin,' we'd love if you joined in, too!

Applications are open now until October 1

And the best part is, all the businesses in the #BuyBasin Festival are paired with a social media expert to coach them on how to put their best foot forward with LIVE video.

We know there are a ton of awesome local businesses that don't get the attention they deserve online. Help us spread the #BuyBasin love and send this article to a few of your favourites.
