The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) is an 11-day celebration of visual arts and cinema!

Over the 11 days, the CIFF screens more than 200 multi-genre films from more than 100 countries and highlighted by a series of gala events, awards ceremonies, and special presentations. 

Since 2000, CIFF has become one of the largest film festivals in Canada—enjoyed each year by upwards of 28,000 cultural enthusiasts—and a premiere cultural event in Calgary’s social calendar, one of only a few Oscar-qualifying festivals in Canada.  

Demonstrating unparalleled diversity and accessibility as an arts medium, CIFF is integral to the cultural fabric of the city, delivering measurable impact, connectivity, and cultural relevance.

Film Schedule

Film genres range from Late Night, New American Cinema to World Cinema, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+ and Music.

There are also film maker panels, artist talks and industry events, for aspiring film makers and creators to network.
