Summer 2025 festival season in review, feat. YOU
What made the 2025 festival summer highlight reel in Western Canada? YOU DID. The festival goers, loyal audiences and creatives who powered Alberta and BC's summer festivals showed up, big time, and we have the proof.
We asked you to share your best photos and videos in our summer highlights contest and wow, did you deliver. It wasn't easy choosing winners. Everyone who attended and took home memories is a winner, in our books.
But we promised prizes to the top choices as named by our FestivalSeekers team, and here they are.

Here are the prize winners, in order. We had six total prizes on offer (for full details, see this contest post).

The after hours scene at a festival is something we don't see as much, and merits some attention.
But that's hardly the end of the story. We were massively impressed by the sheer number of different festivals some of you attended.
Like Juliette Maxine Lalonde Klein, who deserves a special mention for her festive spirit and community building.
Or Amber Nicol, the artistic producer who wrote passionately about the experience of setting up light shows for big summer EDM fests. (Stay tuned for more on this.)
In the end, it was the FestivalSeekers community who generated the ultimate festival karma by sharing your experiences, because it became a vehicle for more festival discovery, as noted by Amanda Eilen:
