Sun Peaks summer events offer mountain of adventure for 2025
Picture this: you are jamming with your friends at one of BC's largest—and at the same time one of the most intimate—live music venues, having literally just come back from a picnic submerged in wildflowers.
No, you're not in the city, it's way better than that. You and your crew are at Sun Peaks Resort for a piece of their recently released summer festival and events series.
Once you check in to Sun Peaks, there's an undeniable flow to this place: forget about the car and move about their pedestrian alpine-themed village clicking into all kinds of events and experiences.
"To me it's this eye of opportunity: you come for an event, but then there is this big, glorious mountain playground. So go see that concert, but go check out the wildflowers, see the stars at night, get on a bike or simply take a seat at over a dozen patios to soak in the sun," explains Naomi Kerchinsky, of Tourism Sun Peaks.

Get into the alpine at Sun Peaks for live music, arts, food and fun this summer
Join Big Sugar, 54-40, Jesse Cook, DJ's, Wide Mouth Mason and a slew of other entertainers under the sun (see below for the highlights).

"There is nothing around you but BC's beauty, you are on an event island," describes Kerchinsky.
"High energy rock n roll to the Endless Summer Festival, laidback sun-drenched, to the Alpenglow Arts Festival, to our dog fest to our car enthusiast's weekend, Sun Peaks is the last stop on the road up into the alpine."
Sun Peaks Bringing in the Big Guns
Sun Peaks isn't fooling around with its events approach, bringing in one of Canada's leading event producers, Greg Albrecht.
Albrecht is at the Peaks to ensure your investment in tickets and a hotel room stay leaves you with some serious perma grin. Albrecht has produced five Grey Cups, Lollapalooza, pieces of the 2010 Olympics and worked with the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Jamiroquai and Snoop Dogg.
"First of all, like Sun Peaks when you experience it in the winter, it's frictionless, no line-ups, no waiting around when you are skiing—or in the summer, biking—so visitors can expect when you are coming to these concerts or festivals it'll be the same experience," says Albrecht.
Given you are 100 meters away from your hotel, everything is very easy to get to. So, you just enjoy yourself as opposed to worrying about line-ups or the friction that can come with other big events."
Albrecht, Kerchincky and the Sun Peaks community have lots to work with given the destination is home to Western Canada's biggest outdoor covered venue, The Sun Peaks Centre.
"The energy in the venue is fantastic, it's a magical experience," Albrecht says.
Why? "First and foremost, at Sun Peaks their slogan is 'you belong here.' Anyone who goes here feels immediately welcome and part of the community," explains Albrecht.
"This sense of belonging comes across in this venue, as the audience becomes one. The venue is big, but it's very intimate. You are not in a confined space, but you have this experience at Sun Peaks Centre stage and then spill out into this amazing village afterwards."
