The annual Ice on Whyte Festival is a family friendly outdoor winter festival that features ice and snow exhibits, an interactive children’s play area, the famous giant ice slide and much more!

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Ice carving demos, an international ice sculpture competition, music, games and snow activities.

The International Ice Carving Competition, rebranded as Chiseled in 2024, kicks off the festival, as 7 teams of internationally renowned ice carvers create icy masterpieces. The 2024 competition was hosted at Edmonton's Ice District. The venue for 2025 is yet to be announced.

Expect lots of outdoor fun. There will be ice and snow exhibits, an interactive children's play area, the famous giant ice slide and much more.

Every day new ice and snow carvings will be created by the artists in residence. Come outside to play and stay to enjoy the live music, fashion, food, hot beverages and culturally themed days.
