The sunniest festival ready days are upon Alberta as we head into August and there is a stacked lineup of events happening across this beautiful province that you are not going to want to miss out on.

Aug 1-4  Big Valley Jamboree / Camrose, AB
Country lovers, this is the big one! Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban the Rekklaws and Terri Clark lead a big lineup of stadium-sized country music. 

Aug 2-4  Beaver Lake Pow Wow / Lac La Biche, Alberta
Beaver Lake Cree Nation welcomes all to their annual pow wow celebration

 

Aug 6-10  Rock'n August / St Albert, AB
Classic cars and live music take over St Albert for four days in a massive event that sees over 50,000 attendees.

Aug 8-11  Edmonton Folk Fest / Edmonton, AB
The spotlight is on Gallagher Park in Edmonton for 4 days of great live music from Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and more!

Aug 9-11  Kananaskis Whitewater Festival / Kananaskis Country, AB
Paddle to your heart's content at this three-day all-things-whitewater festival. Register for advanced, intermediate or beginner kayak events. Or, take a stand-up paddle boarding lesson among other activities.

Aug 10 - 11  Palaeo Palooza / Grande Prairie, AB  
Think of it as the Coachella of dinosaur festivals: the rock stars of palaeontology come out at the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, in Wembley AB, for two days of dino fun! 


Aug 17  Paddle the Peace / Peace River, AB
Take to Peace River for a day of canoes, paddleboards and kayaks with a complementary racers' lunch, live entertainment, door prizes, and a day of fun on the water.

Aug 24  Castle Mountain Huckleberry Festival / Castle Mountain, AB
Come to Castle Mountain's Annual Huckleberry Festival to enjoy music and entertainment and ride the chairlift for some of the best huckleberry picking around.

August is a month of sun and heat, but don’t let that discourage you from enjoying festival season to its fullest as August is one of the busiest months for festivals and events in Alberta. Festival season doesn’t end with the summer though and we will continue to bring you exciting events to sink your teeth into year round.
