Jaywalker's Jamboree

The Jaywalker's Jamboree is Alberta's oldest outdoor fair and will eventually resume its celebrations. The event is returning for its 63rd year in 2022.

You might get a ticket for jaywalking any other time of year, but not during the 63rd annual Jaywalker's Jamboree. The two-day festival is about breaking the rules by meandering right down the middle of the main thoroughfare of Camrose - 50th Street. Shop. Eat. Play games. Hop on a midway ride. That's just part of the fun during the annual event. Tweet This!

The Jaywalker's Jamboree features dozens of entertainers, from local dance clubs, bands and singers.

Food vendors serve up an array of foods, from Norwegian lefse (a potato and flour flatbread) slathered in butter and cinnamon sugar, to good old favourites like hot buttered corn on the cob, burgers, fries and mini doughnuts. There will also be Ukrainian, Mexican and Asian goodies on hand, too.

Other activities:

  • Pancake breakfast is offered each morning on the south side of Candler Art Gallery

  • Support a good local cause with many service clubs holding fundraisers and raffles.

  • There's a special midway area for children, plus face-painting, clowns and other activities.

  • West Coast Amusements will be on-site providing midway rides and games for all ages.
