Did someone say Ya-Hoo? The Calgary Stampede, July 7 – 16, is bringing local and international performers to the Coca-Cola Stage all day long for ten days straight. Check out the lineup, its absolutely crazy. Why? Because its free! Yup, pay to get into the park and then head to hear headliners like Marianas Trench, The Stumbellas, Nelly Furtado and Whitehorse. Nashville North will be the two-step central with Chad Brownlee, Doc Walker, Cold Creek Country and, the Chris Buck Band. Find out the line up here.

Big Valley Jamboree

Big things come from little places in Alberta. This little spot on the map of Central Alberta comes alive on the August Long week. Make your way to Camrose Alberta for the biggest country music festival on the prairies. This year the lineup is as good as it gets. Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Little Big Twon and give a big hand to….Willie Nelson! No kidding – you’ve got the greats and the greatest at this event. Three days, and a killer line up. Find out who else is there here.

Rockin’River Music Fest

Merritt BC hosts a kick-ass country festival for four days over the August Long Weekend that you will want to pack your swimsuit for. But let’s talk about the music first. Check out this lineup. Willie Nelson is on a roll and is playing at Rockin’ Riverfest as well as Big Valley so you can catch him twice along with Aaron Pritchett, Toby Keith, The Band Perry, The Washboard Union and the baritone of country, Toby Keith. Now back to the swim suit. The Coldwater River meanders near the campground so bring your beach chairs and soak in the sun and the river. Get more details here.

Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival

Let’s slow it down a bit and get a little mellow…but not too much. The annual Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival August 17-20 will have you rockin in your lawn chair to the beats of Ricky Skaggs, Alex Cuba, Rev Robert B. Jones and The Lil Smokies. This event is planned perfect with a camp ground only steps away from the main stage. Check out the extensive line up here.
